Instructions & How to Reset them / Mandatory Reading Before First use
These are the instructions we give to all our customers when they purchase Click It Hot Packs.
CLICK THE COIN FOR HOT. Coin may be stiff the first time you use it, requiring several clicks but will click easily in subsequent uses. The stainless steel coin is shaped like a contact lens. With pack in lap, let gravity drop the coin to any corner, grab it with dome side facing up and put pressure down dead center of coin with both thumb tips while bracing fingers underneath on edge of coin. DO NOT CLICK ON HARD SURFACE. Repeat as needed until it fires. Gently massage the now hot pack until very soft for maximum heat and pliability. APPLY to body over clothing to test your heat tolerance before applying to bare skin. Insulate pack with a towel, blanket, glove, etc., to keep the heat from escaping to the open air.
RECHARGE FOR NEXT USE. After the pack has cooled it will become firm. Immerse in boiling water in a pan. Use our specially-designed boiling pouch to protect the pack from bottom of pan or place a thin, cotton washcloth or the like in the pan bottom so the pack sits on top of it in the water. DO NOT MICROWAVE and DO NOT FORCE-FOLD the pack to fit in pan; it will soften and fold itself in the boiling water in a few minutes. You can boil as many packs at once as your pot will hold. KEEP PACK IN CONTINUOUSLY BOILING WATER until all crystals are melted and the contents are liquid again. Hand warmers take approximately 5 minutes, knee/joint packs 10 minutes, back pack 15 minutes and neck/shoulder 20 minutes. Ensure all crystals are liquefied and remove from pan with soft-tipped tongs. Place on rack or towel to cool. If pack starts to re-crystallize on cooling, one or more crystals were not melted so back into boiling water for a bit longer.
STORE SAFELY. Store packs in their liquid/gel state always. Storing in firm, crystallized state will cause damage over time.
FOR COLD USE, place in refrigerator only when pack is in the liquid form. Never place in the freezer or otherwise allow pack to sit outdoors in freezing temperatures for hours. Do not click and no need to recharge it after a cold use. Should you accidentally click it, be sure to recharge it in boiling water before it back in the refrigerator for a cold pack.
